Meet Neha,
our Founder
🌿 Some stories are not ordinary. They are extraordinary.
Our founder’s journey began with silence. Until the age of five, she communicated through expressions, gestures, and her radiant presence — delayed speech made words difficult to come by. What followed were years of confusion, endless tests, and classrooms that did not understand her. In the late 1980s, terms like learning disability were unheard of. She was labelled a “slow learner,” shifted across 11 schools, often misunderstood, and at times even mistreated by the very institutions meant to nurture her. Reading was slow, writing was harder, and every exam felt like a mountain.
But there was something stronger than the struggle — her grit, her family’s unconditional support, and her own refusal to give up. With the right guidance, especially at the Human Development Centre (HDC), she finally found an environment that believed in her. Through the National Open School platform, she completed her 10th and 12th grade, proving to herself and the world that every pace is the right pace, if you walk it with courage.
She went on to complete her education in Home Science with a specialisation in Bakery Production & Management, and in 2006, she launched her first venture — a chocolate business that grew to serve corporates and bulk clients. After a pause, and in the midst of the pandemic, she found her second calling.
In 2019, she lost her mother. During the lockdown, while experimenting with fragrances at home, the family remembered how their mother used to make candles when they were young. That spark became a flame — literally. What started as a way to feel close to her mother transformed into a new entrepreneurial journey: Sixth Sense The Store, a theme-based fragrance brand built on the belief that scents can heal, inspire, calm, and uplift.
What makes her story even more inspiring is how she faced her speech lisp and communication challenges. Once hesitant to speak, she now confidently manages client conversations, banking, staff, and more. The lisp is no longer a barrier — it is part of her strength. Today, she helps others resolve issues, speaks without fear, and stands tall in her truth: she is not successful despite her challenges, she is successful because of them.
Sixth Sense isn’t just about candles or fragrances. It’s about going beyond the five senses. It’s about healing, calm, peace, and inspiration. It’s about creating a bridge between memory and mood, past and present. And it’s about giving back — a portion of every sale is dedicated to supporting the NGO that transformed her journey, and to children and adults with learning disabilities who deserve the same chance she had.
This is her light. This is her legacy.
And every candle you light is part of her extraordinary story.!
